(Oral) The petitioner alleges that his land has been acquired by the National Highway Authorities of India for widening of National Highway No.65 but no compensation has been paid to him so far. The petitioner has in this regard represented the authorities followed by a legal notice dated 30.11.2015 (P-7) but finding no response thereto, the instant writ petition has been filed.
Since no property can be acquired without paying compensation, we are satisfied that the claim of the petitioner requires just and fair consideration. The instant writ petition is accordingly disposed of with a direction to respondent Nos.2 & 3 that in case the petitioner's land was acquired and no compensation has been paid so far, let the needful be done and due amount be paid to him alongwith interest as may be MOHINDER KUMAR 2016.05.06 10:27 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
