Petitioner has sought a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct respondents to release him on parole for a period of two months on account of wedding of his daughter.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of court, Mr. Sahil Sharma, DAG Punjab, who is present in court, accepts notice. He submits that plea of petitioner for grant of parole shall be decided by the concerned authority at the earliest, in any case not later than one week.
