**** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (ORAL) Counsel for the petitioners states that the claim of the petitioners for the release of increment after 23 years of service which is squarely covered by the decisions of this Court, attached as Annexures P-6 to P-10 with the petition.
Counsel for the petitioners further states that vide decision dated 21.08.2018 (Annexure P-12), even the respondent themselves has issued a circular that the employees who were eligible for the grant of increment after completion of 23 years of service starting from the period 16.12.1992 till 17.03.2010, should be granted the same notionally. Counsel further states that despite being eligible and entitled, the petitioners have not been granted the said relief. CWP-27662-2018 -2Counsel for the petitioners states that for this relief, the petitioners have served a legal notice dated 01.10.2018 (Annexure P-13), which is still pending with the respondent and the petitioners will be satisfied in case a time bound direction is given to the respondent to decide the same.
Keeping in view the request made by counsel for the petitioners, the present writ petition is disposed of by giving a direction to the respondent to decide legal notice dated 01.10.2018 (Annexure P-13) within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
