The present contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 28.03.2022 passed by this Court in CRWP-2727-2022.

This Court had issued the following directions in CRWP-27272022, vide its order dated 28.03.2022:- "Keeping in view the limited prayer addressed, facts and circumstances of the case but without expressing any opinion on the merits thereof, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority, to decide representation dated 14.01.2022 (Annexure P5) expeditiously and take adequate steps, if any/as may be necessary in accordance with law."

In compliance of the order dated 28.03.2022 passed by this Court in CRWP-2727-2022, compliance report by way of affidavit dated 28.10.2022 of Dr. Kaustubh Sharma, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana (respondent No.1) has been filed before the Registry. The same is taken on record. The relevant portion of the said compliance report is reproduced as under:- "3.

That in compliance to he above noted order of this Hon'ble court, enquiry on the said Representation of the petitioner dated 14.01.2022 Annexure P-5 (in that petition) was got conducted from SHO, P.S. Salem Tabri, Ludhiana. In fact, the petitioner had alleged in his said Representation that he had received threatening calls from mobile phone nos. +46727883747, +923046463979 and efforts were made to obtain records of these mobile numbers during, which it was revealed that the said mobile numbers belongs to foreign countries and therefore records of these mobile phones could not be obtained. However, the opposite party of the petitioner namely Sarabjit Singh was joined in the enquiry and his statement was recorded who stated that he has no personal enmity with the present petitioner nor he had ever threatened the petitioner.

Ultimately it was revered that at this stage there is no need to provide permanent security to the petitioner. However, duty officer of the concerned police station and the PCR employees of the concerned area have been directed to keep close vigil at the residence of the petitioner. The said enquiry report.

-3ACP-North and thereafter by the ADCP-1 and the Joint Commissioner of Police-City Ludhiana and finally the same has been approved as well by the answering deponent. Thus, the said order of this Hon'ble Court dated 28.03.2022 Annexure P-1 has been duly complied with in its full letter and spirit."

In view of the above, since order dated 28.03.2022 passed by this Court in CRWP-2727-2022, has already been complied with, therefore, the present contempt is purged and rule stands discharged. 5.
