Mr.Raj Kumar Arya, Advocate for the petitioner. **** ANUPINDER SINGH GREWAL, J (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not being considered for promotion to the post of Junior Engineer on the ground of registration of FIR against him. The FIR was registered under Sections 323, 341, 506 and 34 IPC in which cancellation report has been filed. He further contends that the petitioner has sent a legal notice (Annexure P-6) to the respondents in this regard and he would be satisfied if this petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the legal notice (Annexures P-6) in accordance with law. Issue notice to respondents.
At the asking of the Court, Ms.Akshita Chauhan, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondents.
Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to consider and decide the legal notice (Annexures P-6) in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
