The petitioner has filed Election petition No.1, dated 20.01.2016 titled as 'Ram Singh vs Rajbir and others' under Section 176(4) of the Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994. The Election petition is now pending in the Court of Additional Civil Judge (Sr.Division)-cum-Election Tribunal at Hodal, District Palwal. The prayer in the instant writ petition is to direct the Election Tribunal to decide the above-stated Election petition at the earliest.

[2] Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and considering the nature of relief sought in this writ petition, coupled with the fact that there is a fix tenure of the office of Sarpanch, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the learned Election Tribunal to decide the abovementioned Election petition expeditiously and preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
