The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction to the trial Court to dispose of the trial in a time bound manner.

I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and have also perused the averments made in the petition. The petitioner stands involved in FIR No. 125, dated 24.7.2019, Police Station Samana, District Patiala, under Section 21 of NDPS Act. Although, even the copy of the FIR has not been annexed with the petition, but the learned counsel has apprised this Court that as per the case of MOHAN SINGH 2020.12.04 17:25 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

- 2 - CRM-M-40581-2020 (O&M) prosecution, 340 tablets of 'Tramadol' were allegedly recovered from the petitioner.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances especially the present circumstances of spread of pandemic, on account of which the working of the Courts stands paralyzed in the entire country and the Courts are working in a restrictive manner and there is no respite in sight from the said pandemic as yet, this Court does not deem it appropriate to issue any directions as prayed for, under the present circumstances.
