Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari to quash the action of respondent - Department, whereby respondent No. 3, who has already been given accelerated promotion by extending the benefit of reservation in promotion under Physical Handicap Category in Group-A post, is again granted the said benefit for promotion to the post of Chief Engineer, in violation of Instructions dated 24.06.2015 (P-6). Learned counsel for the parties jointly stated that all five petitioners as well as respondent No. 3 have since retired on attaining the age of superannuation, therefore, present petition be disposed off as having been rendered infructuous.

Ordered accordingly.
