The petitioner is a resident of village Kotla Khurd, Tehsil and District Amritsar. He alleges that the public street of his village which vests in Gram Panchayat, has been encroached upon by the private respondents and no action is being taken for removal of encroachment though it stood established in the demarcation report dated 15.12.2009. We find from the record that the petitioner has already approached the authorities and served them with a legal notice also, agitating the above-stated grievance. [2] In this view of the matter and without expressing any views on the merits of the case, more so when we have not heard the private respondents at this stage, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to DDPO, Amritsar to get a fact finding enquiry conducted and if it is found Meenu 2018.01.09 12:55 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document chandigarh that there is any encroachment in public street, let appropriate action in
