(ORAL) The present petition has been filed by the petitioner with a prayer for issuance of a direction to respondent No.2 to conduct a fair and proper investigation in the complaint/representation, dated 05.10.2021 (Annexure P-2), lodged by the petitioner regarding threat perception given to the petitioner. Learned counsel further submits that no action is being undertaken by the police on the aforesaid representation (Annexure P-2) and the petitioner is being pressurized to concede the claim of respondent No.5, in which the litigation is already pending between the parties which fact is clear from Annexure P-1. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to respondent No.2 to decide the said representation (Annexure P-2) by passing an appropriate speaking order. Mr. Kirat Singh Sidhu, learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, who has joined the proceedings through video conference, keeping in view the service of advance copy of petition, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and raises no objection in deciding the representation dated 05.10.2021 (Annexure P-2) by respondent No.2 in a time bound manner by passing an appropriate speaking order.

Without commenting upon the merits of the case and keeping in view the grievance raised by the petitioner in the present petition or the representation dated 05.10.2021 (Annexure P-2), the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the representation dated 05.10.2021 (Annexure P-2) within a period of eight weeks from the receipt of copy of this order.
