The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of an appropriate order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the live and personal liberty of petitioners and not to interfere in the personal life and liberty of petitioners which is in danger at the hands of respondents No.4 to 10 and other relatives and friends.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that that the petitioners made a representation dated 03.06.2026 before the jurisdictional police authorities; however, no action has been taken thereon and the same is still pending. CRWP-6838-2026(O&M) (Annexure P-3) is considered and decided by the competent respondent by passing a speaking order within a time bound manner.

Notice of motion restricted to official respondents only. 4.

Mr. Banu Pratap Singh, learned Additional Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and submits that he has no objection, in case a direction is issued to the respondent No.2/competent authority for time bound consideration and decision of the representation dated 03.06.2026 (Annexure P-3).

Therefore, in view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners, respondent No.2 is directed to consider the representation dated 03.06.2026 (Annexure P-3) of the petitioners and pass a speaking order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, within a period of two weeks from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order. Further, the decision taken thereof shall be conveyed to the petitioners. Needless to say, if the petitioners are found entitled to the relief sought, the same shall be granted forthwith by respondent No.2.
