The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing respondents No.1 to 4 to decide the representation dated 24.07.2024 (Annexure P-3) to direct the Executive Officer-respondent No.5 to act upon the resolution dated 15.07.2024 (Annexure P-1) and reminder dated 19.07.2024 (Annexure P-2) passed by the President and all the Municipal Councillors to convene the meeting of the house regarding development works of Nagar Panchayat Bhagta Bhaika. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as regards the prayer made in the present petition, the petitioner has already submitted a representation dated 24.07.2024 (Annexure P-3). Mr. Navneet Singh, Sr. DAG, Punjab, who has appeared on behalf of respondent/State in this case, pursuant to the advance copy of petition having been sent to the State, submits that in case any such representation has been received in the office of Deputy Commissioner, Bathinda, the same would be considered and decided by the Deputy Commissioner, Bathinda within a period of two months from today. 4.

In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he does not press the instant petition any further.

In view of the aforesaid submissions made by the respective counsel, the petition is disposed of, accordingly. 6.
