Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the office order No.425 dated 28.06.2024 (Annexure P-1) passed by Deputy Chief Accounts Officer (respondent No.3) from the office of Chief Financial Officer (respondent No.2) whereby services of the petitioner have been suspended under Regulation 4(1) of Punjab State Electricity Board Employees (Punishment and Appeal) Regulations, 1971. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the very outset, confines his prayer for deciding representation dated 08.07.2024 (Annexure P-2). He submits that at this stage, petitioner would be satisfied, if the said representation is decided by passing a speaking order within a time bound frame.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to decide representation dated 08.07.2024 (Annexure P-2), submitted by the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order, preferably within a period of 02 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
