The petitioners are seeking issuance of directions to respondent No.2 to protect their life and liberty and their family members at the hands of respondent Nos.3 to 12, who are interfering in the peaceful possession of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are being extended threats of dire consequences upon the private respondents who are "well connected", and are also being threatened of false implication in false cases. Learned counsel has further submitted that complaint in the said regard was given to the Sr. Superintendent of PoliceHoshiarpur (Annexure P-2) on 10.06.2024, however, the official respondents had failed to come to their rescue. After arguing for some time, he submits that he would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the official respondents to decide the complaint dated 10.06.2024 (Annexure P-2).
