The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking direction to the official respondent(s) to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members at the hands of respondent Nos.4 and 5.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be content and satisfied in case his complaint/ representation dated 02.06.2025 (Annexure P-3) be decided in a time bound manner.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Kamalpreet Bawa, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.

In view of the prayer made and without commenting upon the merits of the case, the respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Malerkotla is directed to decide the complaint/ representation dated 02.06.2025 (Annexure P3) within a period of 04 weeks by passing a speaking order in accordance with law.
