The petitioners are residents of village Kurari, Tehsil and District SAS Nagar. They allege that the Gram Panchayat of their village led by respondent No.6-Sapanch has allotted 100 sq.yards plots to various ineligible persons whereas the petitioners, who belong to scheduled caste, Rai Sikh and Christians Community, have not been allotted such plots, though all of them are living below poverty line. Some information received under the Right to Information Act, 2005 is also sought to be challenged. [2] The alleged beneficiaries of the allotment are not party to these proceedings. No order prejudicial to their interest can, thus, be passed in their absence.
