The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (corresponding to Section 482 Cr.P.C.) seeking issuance of appropriate directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to ensure a fair, impartial and independent investigation in FIR No.0124 dated 17.05.2026 registered under Sections 115(2), 118(1), 126(2), 351(2) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (corresponding to Sections 323, 324, 341, 506 and 34 IPC) at Police Station Bhawanigarh, District Sangrur (Annexure P-2), and to decide the representation dated 29.05.2026 (Annexure P-3) in a time-bound manner. CRM-M-33472-2026 directing the official respondents to consider the role of respondent No.5 and to array him as an accused and invoke appropriate penal provisions, including Section 109 of the BNS, 2023. The petitioner has also sought directions restraining respondent No.4 and the local police authorities from taking any coercive or illegal action against the petitioner or her family members on the basis of any allegedly manipulated or false crossversion/cross-case, which, according to the petitioner, has been engineered only to exert pressure upon them.

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner, upon instructions, seeks permission to withdraw the present petition with liberty to avail such alternative remedy as may be available to the petitioner in accordance with law.

In view of the statement made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty aforesaid.
