Advocate General, Punjab with Mr. Charanpreet Singh, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab. **** SHEEL NAGU, CHIEF JUSTICE (Oral) The petitioner has filed this first petition for grant of regular bail in case FIR No. 205 dated 14.07.2022 under Sections 323,324, 341 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code (Sessions 325/326 IPC added later on) registered at Police Station Sahnewal, District Police Commissionerate, Ludhiana.

The petitioner is in custody about one year for the offence of causing grievous injury to the complainant by imputation of his right finger.

Learned State counsel has informed that after filing of chargesheet and framing of charges, the trial is now fixed for recording the statements of prosecution witnesses.

In the given facts and circumstances and to enable the injured witness to have a safe and secure atmosphere to depose as a witness, the petition for grant of regular bail for the time being is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to revisit the Court after examination of the injured witness or if the trial is further delayed, whichever is earlier.
