The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to the respondents to release dearness allowance arrears along with interest in view of order dated 20.12.2022 (Annexure P-1). 2.

The petitioners prior to 2022 worked with respondent-U. T. Administration on contract basis. They were paid dearness allowance which has been enhanced vide communication dated 20.12.2022. The petitioners claimed that respondent has paid arrears arising on account of enhancement of dearness allowance to many employees, however, said benefit has not been extended to them.
