Coram:

Hon'ble Mr. Justice Inderjit Singh .....

Present:

Mr. B.S. Bajwa, Advocate for the petitioner.

Inderjit Singh, J.

The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.158 dated 8.7.2019 registered for the offences under Sections 323, 324, 336, 148 and 149 IPC and (Section 307 IPC and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, 1959 which were added later on), at Police Station Beas, Distt. Amritsar. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

The present petitioner is named in the FIR. He is stated to be armed with iron rod. He gave 4-5 iron rod blows to the complainant out of which 4 hits on his calf muscle of right leg and one hit at the backside of right ankle. Though the injury dangerous to life has not been attributed to the present petitioner, but keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case and the fact that he is required for custodial interrogation as he has taken active participation in the commission of offence and iron road is HARPAL SINGH PARMAR 2019.08.28 16:53 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Cr. Misc. No.M-35106 of 2019 [2] still to be recorded, I do not find it a fit case where the petitioner is entitled for the grant of anticipatory bail.

Therefore, finding no merit in this petition, the same is dismissed.
