By virtue of instant petition preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to revise the pension at Rs.23,000/- as granted to all other similarly situated and even to the junior officers Sh. Hardev Singh, Joint Director and Sh. Gurdev Singh, Joint Director, who are also pre01.01.1996 retirees, in term of instructions dated 07.06.2007 (P-6) by granting him benefit of judgment in CWP No. 457 of 1995, decided on 29.09.2006, affirmed in LPA No. 94 of 2007 and in various other similar petitions such as CWP No. 13615 of 2009, CWP No. 6899 of 2011 implemented vide orders dated 07.02.2011 (P-4) and CWP No. 8690 of 2011, decided on 17.05.2011 implemented vide decision dated 09.03.2012 (P-5) and thereafter to re-fix the revised pension at Rs.23000/- by granting benefit of para 4.2 of the Punjab Sonika 2018.02.15 17:23 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CWP No.29888 OF 2017 --2-- Government letter No. 3/23/09-3FPPC/885 dated 17.08.2009 (P-7) and Punjab Government letter No.3/23/09-3FPPC/201 dated 22.02.2010 (P-8) by granting him pension on the basis of corresponding pay scale w.e.f. 01.01.2006 in the government decision dated 18.07.2012 (P-12) and also in the decision of the Govt. of Punjab vide order dated 27.03.2015 (P-13) in respect of the employees of the Animal Husbandry Department.

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner contends that though representation dated 15.06.2017 (Annexure P-14) was moved to the respondents but till date no conscious decision has been taken by them. He further submits that petitioner feels satisfied in case direction is issued to respondents to decide the aforesaid representation, within a stipulated period. 3.

Instant petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondents to look into the grievances unfolded by the petitioner in his representation dated 15.06.2017 (P-14) and take a conscious decision, in accordance with law, within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. However, in case, the petitioner still feels aggrieved against any or the order passed by the concerned authority, he shall be at liberty to have recourse to the other remedies available to him as well as to approach this Court.
