Prayer made in the writ petition is for granting the benefit of promotion and salary to the petitioner with effect from 28.10.1986 as Turbine Operator with consequential relief of interest, which has already been granted to the similarly placed employees, who are otherwise junior to him.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that for that purpose, petitioner has already got issued legal notice dated 11.07.2018 (Annexure P7), but the same has not been decided as yet. The matter in controversy involved strictly to that extent and grievance of the petitioner would be redressed suitably if legal notice (Annexure P7) is decided by the respondent-Corporation within a stipulated period.
