**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Prayer is for grant of anticipatory bail to the appellant in case bearing FIR No.126 dated 25.07.2023, under Sections 3 and 4 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities), Act, at Police Station Garshankar, District Hoshiarpur. Learned counsel for the appellant submits that the appellant is a senior citizen, aged about 65 years; that the complainant is the Sarpanch of the Village and has lodged the present FIR against the appellant due to party rivalry and that the appellant has also lodged a DDR, in which the complainant herein is also an accused. At this stage, learned counsel for the appellant submits that the appellant is ready to surrender before the learned trial Court and his bail application be ordered to be decided in a time bound manner. Notice of motion.

CRA-S-2178-2023 (O&M) -2- , accepts notice on behalf of the respondents-State and submits that he has no objection if the aforesaid limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the appellant, is allowed. In view of the above, the appellant would be at liberty to surrender before the learned trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate, within a week from today, if so advised.
On his doing so, the learned trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate is directed to decide his regular bail application within 5 days, as per law. Disposed of.
