Present appeal emanates from the award dated 16.10.2013 passed by Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Karnal seeking enhancement of compensation.

Learned counsel has impugned the award on the limited ground that quantum of compensation granted is on the lower side. I have heard learned counsel for the appellant. An accident occurred on 14.07.2011 in which appellant suffered injuries. On a claim being lodged, tribunal held that accident was caused due to rash and negligent driving by driver of the offending vehicle. Tribunal has considered the claim of the appellants under various heads and granted total compensation of `59,000/-/. In my considered view adequate compensation has been granted after taking into consideration all the factors. Medical bills which were exhibited on record were taken into consideration. Therefore, the question of enhancing the compensation awarded by the tribunal does not arise. Accordingly, I find no ground to interfere in Ajay Kumar 2017.05.12 15:46 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
