JASWANT SINGH, J. (ORAL) Petitioner while serving as Sub Inspector was made an accused in FIR No.236 dated 15.11.2006, under Sections 302/307 and 452 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 25/54/59 of the Arms Act. The petitioner is stated to have been arrested on 21.11.2006 and remained in judicial custody till he was acquitted by the learned Sessions Judge, Muktsar, vide judgment dated 18.5.2010, in the criminal trial. The petitioner is stated to have been reinstated in November 2010. Now, after a period of 8 years, the petitioner has filed the instant writ petition seeking a mandamus for release of the suspension/ subsistence allowance from 21.11.2006 to 18.5.2010 i.e. for the period he RAJ KUMAR ARORA 2018.11.13 18:19 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
