***** JASPAL SINGH, J By virtue of instant petition preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioners have sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ, order or direction, directing the respondents to grant the revised pension as per criteria adopted for granting pension to the similarly situated employees of punjab govt. who retired after 01.01.2006 i.e. according to the corresponding scales in the fitment table appended with the notification-Punjab Civil Service Revised Pay Rules, 2009 (Annexure P-1). 2.
At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though representation dated 25.08.2016 (Annexure P-8) was moved to the respondents but till date neither any reply has been received nor any conscious decision has been taken. He further submits that petitioners feel satisfied in case direction is issued to respondent(s) to deal with and dispose of aforesaid Sonika 2018.02.12 15:31 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the instant petition is disposed of with the direction to respondent(s) to look into the grievances unfolded by the petitioners in representation dated 25.08.2016 (Annexure P-8) and to decide the same as per rules and regulations, within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 4.
However, if the petitioners still feel aggrieved against any of the order(s) passed by the concerned authority, they shall be at liberty to approach this Court as well as to have recourse to the other remedies available to them under law.
