Present writ petition is for issuance of directions to the respondents to grant benefit of extension of service to the petitioner from 58 years to 60 years being a disable person along with all consequential benefits as per the view taken by this Court in Bhupinder Singh v. State of Punjab and Others (CWP-7233-2010, decided on 25.05.2011). Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the judgment in Bhupinder Singh's case (supra) was passed by this Court on the basis of circular issued by the State of Punjab on 16.02.1996 in this regard and the said judgment has already been implemented and similarly situated employees of the Board have already been granted such benefit, but grievance of the petitioner has not been redressed as yet. For that purpose, petitioner got issued legal notice dated 16.07.2018 (Annexure P5), which is still pending for decision.

In view of above, present writ petition stands disposed of with the directions to the respondents to look into legal notice dated 16.07.2018 (Annexure P5) and take the required decision thereon, expeditiously and preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
