MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are senior citizens, who are facing threats of dire consequences at the hands of none other than their son, who had thrown them out of their house; after locking their residential premises had moved out.

On a pointed query put to the learned counsel, he has submitted that the house is in the name of petitioner No.1, however, on account of continuous threats being extended by respondent No.4, they had approached the official respondents by moving a representation dated 05.07.2024 (Annexure P-3), however, the police too was colluding with respondent No.4 and not coming to their rescue. 3.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners would be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, to look into their representation dated (Annexure P-3) and take appropriate steps in accordance with law.

In view of the prayer of the learned counsel for the petitioners, the instant petition is disposed of with directions to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, to look into the representation dated 05.07.2024 (Annexure P-3) of the petitioners at the earliest and take appropriate steps, as may be required, in accordance with law.
