Prayer made in the writ petition is for issuance of directions to the respondents to grant revised pay scales to the petitioners which have already been granted to the Agriculture Sub Inspectors working in the Soil Conservation and Engineering Department, Punjab and prayer has also been made that they be granted same pay scale at par with Agriculture Sub Inspectors as has already been decided by this Court in Nirmal Singh and Others v. State of Punjab and Another (CWP-22834-2013, decided on 22.03.2018) and even the matter has been decided in Letters Patent Appeal as well and the judgment has been implemented by the department. Learned counsel for the petitioners contended that petitioners got issued legal notice dated 22.05.2018 (Annexure P12) for redressal of their grievance, but the same has not been decided as yet. In view of above, present writ petition stands disposed of with the directions to the respondents to look into legal notice dated 22.05.2018 (Annexure P12) and take the required decision thereon, expeditiously and preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
