Feeling aggrieved against the alleged inaction on the part of respondent authorities, petitioners have approached this Court by way of instant Criminal Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of BNSS seeking issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents No.2 and 3 to provide police protection to the petitioners and protect the life and liberty of the petitioners, at the hands of respondents No.5 to 31.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have already submitted a representation dated 27.05.2026 (Annexure P-1) to respondents No.2 and 3 and he shall be satisfied in case respondent No.3 is directed to look into the matter and take appropriate steps, in accordance with law.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and after going through the case file, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3- Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahib, to consider the representation dated 27.05.2026 (Annexure P-1) and decide the same by passing an appropriate order thereon, strictly as per law, within a period of two months from today.
