CORAM:
HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE MANDEEP PANNU Present:- Mr. Krishan Singh, Advocate for the petitioner.
Mr. Viney Saini, AAG, Haryana.
***** MANDEEP PANNU, J. (Oral) 1.
This Criminal Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the BNSS and Section 3 of the Haryana Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 2022, seeking extension of parole for a further period of 8 weeks on medical grounds.
2.
It is argued by learned counsel for the petitioner that earlier the parole granted to the petitioner was extended on the ground that he was scheduled to undergo bypass surgery on 19.05.2026. Vide order dated 11.05.2026, parole granted to the petitioner was extended up to 12.06.2026 on the same conditions as were imposed earlier and he was directed to surrender on 12.06.2026 at 5.00 p.m. before the concerned authority. 3.
It is further submitted that the bypass surgery of the petitioner could not be conducted on 19.05.2026 due to medical reasons and the same ANU 2026.06.11 12:21 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
CRWP-6882-2026 was deferred. Thereafter, the surgery was ultimately performed on 04.06.2026 at PGIMS, Rohtak. The relevant medical certificate in support thereof has been placed on record.
4.
Keeping in view the peculiar facts and circumstances of the case, particularly the fact that the petitioner has recently undergone bypass surgery, parole granted to the petitioner is extended up to 02.07.2026 on the same terms and conditions as were imposed earlier. He is directed to surrender before the concerned authority on 02.07.2026 at 5.00 p.m. 5.
The present petition stands disposed of accordingly. 6.
All pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of. (MANDEEP PANNU) 11.06.2026 JUDGE Anu Whether speaking/reasoned :
