(Oral) The petitioners have approached this Court under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, inter alia seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus, declaring that the acquisition proceedings in respect of the land in question of village Ajronda, Hadbast No. 118, Tehsil Ballabgarh, District Faridabad, alleged to be acquired vide Award No. 4, dated 10.07.1969, qua the petitioners comprised in Khasra No. 18/1/1/2, measuring 33.3 sq. yards, 133.33 sq. yards and 122.22 sq. yards (total measuring 228.85 sq. yards) respectively has lapsed in view of the provisions of Section 24(2) the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (for brevity 'the Act'). A further prayer has also been made regarding stay of dispossession of the petitioners during the pendency of the writ petition.

After arguing for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he may be allowed to withdraw the instant writ petition with liberty to the petitioners to take recourse to the alternative remdies in accordance with law.
