Petitioners are employed as ETT Teachers in Government Primary Schools in Tehsil Ajnala. The Department of Elementary Education has re-organized blocks comprising clusters of schools for proper administration by the Department.

Grievance of the petitioners is that while re-organizing the blocks no reasonable criteria has been followed. It is claimed that an application under the RTI Act has been made and the Department is yet to disclose the criteria and rationale adopted for such re-organization.

At the time of hearing counsel prays for permission to withdraw the petition to enable their clients to seek their remedy under the RTI Act.
