*** Daya Chaudhary, J. (Oral) The petitioners pray that their cases be considered under the ASHIANA scheme for resettlement of economically weaker sections by giving them dwelling units. It is alleged that the respondents are following pick and choose method and are not uniform in applying the scheme thereby depriving the petitioners of the benefit. In this regard, they have made a detailed representation which is annexed as Annexure P-2 with the present petition but no action has been taken thereupon. Learned counsel submits that the petitioners would be satisfied in case the directions are issued to the respondents to take action on the representation.

Accordingly, keeping in view the limited prayer and without commenting on the merits of the case, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the present petition with a direction to the respondents to look into the grievance of the petitioners as made in the representation (Annexure P-2) and take a decision thereon in accordance with law and policy by passing a NEETU RANI 2019.10.19 09:49 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court Chandigarh
