(ORAL) Present petition has been preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus seeking direction to the official respondents to take action on the representation dated 31st of July,2018 submitted by the petitioner vis-a-vis his transfer from Ferozepur to Kotakpura to DS Division Kotakpura. 2.

Ld. Senior Counsel representing the respondents-PSPCL submits that subsequent to the present writ petition another representation dated 30th of January, 2019 was received from the petitioner and acting thereon he was posted as Sr. XEN/Tech at Sri Mukatsar Sahib vide order dated 7th of February, 2019. Reference has been made to para No.8 of the preliminary submissions made in the written statement on behalf respondents No.1 and 2 which reads as under :- DEEPAK KUMAR 2023.01.10 08:32 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

It is also submitted that after the institution of the present writ petition, the petitioner had made a request, to Chairman cum Managing Director of respondent corporation on 30.01.2019, mentioning that he is resident of Bathinda, as such he may be transferred from Ferozepur to Bathinda, so that he can take care of his family. The request of the petitioner was though contrary to the claim of the petitioner in the present petition, however, competent authority considered his request and posted the petitioner as Sr. XEN/Tech. At Shri Mukatsar Sahib (which is non-public dealing post & is around 30 Kms from his Kotkapura and 54 Kms from Bathinda) vide office order no.29 dated 07.02.2019, which makes that claim of the petitioner in present writ petition infructuous."

Ld. Senior Counsel thus submits that in view of the aforesaid fact, the present petition has been rendered infructuous. 4.
