Present writ petition is for issuance of directions to the respondents to consider the case of petitioner for promotion to the post of Assistant Engineer from the date when respondents No.3 to 5, who are his juniors, were promoted and subsequently to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer/Executive Engineer.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that for redressal of his grievance, petitioner has already made detailed representation dated 30.04.2015 (Annexure P1) and also got issued legal notice dated 16.06.2015 (Annexure P2), which are still pending with the respondents for decision.
