RAJIVE BHALLA, J. (ORAL) Prayer in this writ petition is to direct the official respondents, to take immediate steps to stop illegal mining of sand from the area adjoining the land in dispute.

Taking cognizance of the contents of the writ petition, the following order was passed on 27.5.2015:- " Notices issued to respondent nos.8 and 9 have not been received back served or otherwise.

Let fresh notice be issued to respondents no.8 and 9.

Civil Writ Petition No.9931 of 2015 2 for respondents No.5 to 7 pray for time to file reply. The Deputy Commissioner, Fazilka, Sr.

Superintendent of Police, Fazilka and the General Manager-cum-Mining Officer shall ensure that no illegal mining takes place in Mohar Singh Wala, Tehsil Jalalabad, District Fazilka."

The State of Punjab has filed a counter affidavit of Gurjant Singh, General Manager-cum-Mining Officer, District Industries Centre, Fazilka at Ferozepur, in Court today, which is taken on record. A perusal of the affidavit reveals that at present, there is no illegal mining. Counsel for the petitioners also states that as of today, illegal mining has come to an end. Consequently, we dispose of the writ petition by directing the Deputy Commissioner, Fazilka, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka and the General Manager-cum-Mining Officer, Ferozepur, to ensure that no illegal mining takes place in village Mohar Singh Wala, Tehsil Jalalabad, District Fazilka or else where within their respective jurisdictions.
