(Oral) Union of India and its authorities have challenged the order dated 10.12.2014 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Chandigarh Bench, whereby the Original Application of respondent No.2 has been allowed holding him entitled to seek stepping up of pay . The Original Application has been allowed by the Tribunal in terms of its earlier decision dated 19.1.2010 passed in OA.No.156-JK-2009 (Ashok Kumar versus Union of India and others).

During the course of hearing learned counsel for the petitioners fairly states that the order dated 19.1.2010 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal in Ashok Kumar's case (supra) was upheld by this Court in Civil Writ Petition No.12894 of 2010 decided on 23.07.2010 against which Special Leave Petition (Civil) No.CC-7278 of 2011 was MOHINDER KUMAR 2015.05.19 11:51 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CWP No.9950 of 2015 [2] also dismissed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court vide order dated 2.5.2011. Thereafter, a bunch of writ petitions arising out of similar matters too was dismissed by a Co-ordinate Bench vide order dated 18.12.2012 (Union of India and another versus Central Administrative Tribunal and others).

For the reasons assigned by this Court in Ashok Kumar's case as well as in Union of India's case (supra), the present writ petition must also fail and is accordingly dismissed.
