The present civil writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant FPL-6 (Pay Level-6, Rs.35,400/-) to the petitioners w.e.f. 01.01.2016 on actual basis at part with the benefit granted to identically situated Laboratory Technicians vide judgment dated 30.01.2024 passed by this Court and to release arrears of pay accordingly along with interest @ 12% per annum. Further, to release the arrears of the upgraded pay scale with grade pay on actual basis in respect of the intervening period i.e. from 01.01.2016 along with interest as delay to fix the pay on actual basis w.e.f. 01.01.2016 is on the part of respondents and even after settlement of issue by this Court with regard to fixation of date for revised pay on actual NEHA 2026.07.02 09:58 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh

Learned counsel for the petitioners, at the outset, submits that during the pendency of the present petition, the representation of the petitioners dated 21.05.2026 (Annexures P-9 & P-10) has been decided vide order dated 09.06.2026 (copy of the same has been placed on record as Mark 'X'). As such, he wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to file fresh petition after challenging the aforesaid order. 3.
