* * * * Appellant suffered injuries in a motor accident. Learned Tribunal awarded a total compensation of Rs.97,200/-. Learned counsel for the claimant submitted that a meager amount has been awarded towards pain and suffering, diet, transportation and attendant as also against future loss of incomes. Learned counsel ultimately submitted that the claimant will feel satisfied if he is awarded another sum of Rs.75,000/- over and above the amount already awarded by the Tribunal is allowed to the appellant in full and final settlement of the claim.
Accordingly, we dispose of this case with a direction to the Insurance Company to deposit cheque for Rs.75,000/- (Rupees Seventy-five Thousand Only) favouring appellant No.1- Raj Kumar @ Raju with the Office of the Lok Adalat of the High Court on or before 13.07.2017. Failing compliance of the order, interest @ 9% per annum shall follow on this amount till payment from the date of this order. The appellant counsel may collect the cheque from the office of the Lok Adalat after retaining the photocopy of the cheque/draft bearing signatures of the Counsel. Appeal stands disposed of.
Copy of this order be supplied/sent to the counsel/parties and file be consigned to record.
