* * * * RAVI SHANKER JHA, C.J. (ORAL) The petitioner by way of the present writ petition seeks a writ of certiorari for quashing the notification dated 21.02.2000 (Annexure P-4) issued under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 and all the subsequent proceedings emanating therefrom.
The petitioner further prays for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent-authorities to exempt his land from acquisition. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as the issue involved in the present writ petition relating to Section 24(2) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 is squarely covered by the judgement of the Supreme Court in Indore Development Authority Vs Manohar Lal and others, AIR 2020 SC 1496, he may be permitted to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to approach the respondent-authorities in respect of his second prayer. Prayer made is allowed.
The writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn with the aforesaid liberty.
