**** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI, J.
The present writ petition has been filed seeking direction to respondent No.2 to decide the appeal dated 25.10.2013 (Annexure P-6), which the petitioner has filed against the order dated 09.05.2013 declining to regularize the period from 11.12.2008 till 30.08.2012 as the period spent on duty.
It is the contention of the petitioner that despite the fact that five years have elapsed and the appeal was filed within the time frame, still no decision has been taken by the respondents. Counsel for the petitioner further states that at this stage, the petitioner will be satisfied, if a direction is issued to respondent No.2 to decide the appeal dated 25.10.2013 (Annexure P-6) within a time frame. Without expressing any opinion on merits of the case, keeping in view the request made by the counsel for the petitioner, the present writ
