(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Cod of Criminal Procedure, for seeking directions to the official respondents to decide the representations (Annexures P-4, P-6 to P-8) and to take appropriate action against private respondent No.5. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner had made number of representations to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran, with regard to the theft of .12 bore double barrel gun and .12 bore single barrel gun (licenced) along with live cartridges but no action has been taken by the police as yet.

On 09.12.2020, notice of motion was issued in this case and the State was directed to file its status report before the next date of hearing. CRM-M-40972-2020 -2Taran, has been filed on behalf of respondent Nos.1, 3, and 4 by way of email. A print out of the same is directed to be taken on record. The Registry is directed to tag the same at appropriate place and paginate it accordingly. As per the aforesaid affidavit, it has been stated in para No.3 that an FIR No.140 dated 23.12.2020, under Section 380 IPC has been registered at Police Station Chohla Sahib, District Tarn Taran, against respondent no.5Gursharan Singh and further process have been taken up in accordance with law.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that he has gone through the status report, which has been filed by the State and in view of the aforesaid status report, the present petition can be disposed of as having become infructuous because an FIR now has been registered and the grievance stands redressed.
