(Oral) The instant petition has been filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, for the grant of interim bail for a period of four weeks in case bearing FIR No. 12 dated 12.05.2026, registered under Section(s) 21, 27-A and 29 of the N.D.P.S. Act, 1985 and Section 25 of the Arms Act at Police Station State Special Operations Cell, Fazilka, District Intelligence Wing (CID), Fazilka, Punjab to attend the marriage of his sister which is scheduled for 22.06.2026. 2.

CRM-M-33982-2026 -2presence of the petitioner is traditionally required to perform essential religious ceremonies. The wedding events are scheduled to take place on 22.06.2026 (Monday), with the main ceremonies, including Reception of Barat and Anand Karaj being solemnized at Rydhum Hotel, Near Hamad, Firozpur.

Without commenting on the merits of the present case, the present petition is disposed of and the petitioner is granted an interim bail for a period of 07 days commencing w.e.f. 19.06.2026 to 25.06.2026 subject to verification of the facts as averred in the instant petition, on his furnishing of bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the concerned Illaqa/Duty Magistrate. He shall surrender before the concerned Jail Superintendent on 25.06.2026 before 5:00 pm.
