***** KARAMJIT SINGH , J. (Oral) Case has been heard through video conferencing on account of COVID-19 Pandemic.

Petitioners allege that both of them are major and they got married on 25.10.2021 against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 14 who are related to both the petitioners. As per the petitioners, it is the first marriage of petitioner No.2 while the first wife of petitioner No.1 has already died. It is also the case of the petitioners that both of them are Muslims. Counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the aforesaid private respondents have threatened to cause harm to both the petitioners

( 2 ) CRWP-10301-2021 (O&M) and in this regard representation dated 26.10.2021 (Anneuxre P-5) was given to Superintendent of Police, District Nuh-Mewat but till date no action has been taken by the concerned authorities in this regard. Notice of motion.

Mr. Naveen Kumar Sheron, DAG, accepts notice on behalf of the State of Haryana. He submits that the concerned authority will look into the matter and take decision on the representation of the petitioners in accordance with law.

In view of above, without going into merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with direction to the Superintendent of Police, District Nuh-Mewat to consider representation dated 26.10.2021 (Annexure P- 5) and to provide appropriate protection to the petitioners if so warranted. However, any observations made in this order will not be construed as an expression of opinion on the validity of the marriage of the petitioners.
