The petitioner seeks grant of regular bail in respect of a case registered against him vide FIR No.148, dated 9.6.2020, Police Station Israna, District Panipat, Haryana, under Sections 406, 420, 506, 34 IPC and Section 24 of Immigration Act (Sections 370 and 384 IPC added later on).

Today, at the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the matter in fact stands amicably resolved amongst the parties and that a petition for quashing of the FIR on the grounds of compromise i.e. CRM-M-39945-2020 has already been filed in this Court wherein notice has been issued.

Mr. Shikhar Kataria, Advocate, has put in appearance on behalf of the complainant and has endorsed the fact that the matter indeed stands compromised.

Learned State counsel has, however, feigned ignorance about the factum of compromise. It has, however, been informed that the petitioner is involved in one more case and that as on date he is behind bars since the last 1 1⁄2 months.

Having regard to the aforestated position, wherein the matter is stated to have been compromised and a quashing petition on the basis of compromise has already been filed in this Court, the petition is hereby accepted and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail subject to his furnishing bail bonds to the satisfaction of learned trial Court/Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate concerned.
