The contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 31.01.2025 passed in CWP-2631-2025, which was disposed of with direction to the respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner in terms of CWP-13761-2024, titled as Akashdeep and others Vs. State of Punjab.

Learned State counsel contends that in Akashdeep's case (supra), the State preferred LPA-1648-2025, wherein, the Contempt Court is requested to adjourn the petition beyond the date fixed in the LPA-1648-2025. 3.

In view of the same, the present contempt petition is dismissed. 4.

Liberty is however granted to the petitioner to avail the remedy in accordance with law after the decision of LPA-1648-2025. 5.

All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, are also disposed of.
