ASHOK KUMAR VERAMA, J. (ORAL) Through present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India prayer has been made for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents No.2 and 3 not to harass the petitioners at the instance of respondents No.4 and 5 as the petitioners have married against the wishes of private respondents. Further prayer has been made for direction to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners and family members of petitioner No.2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that at this stage he would be satisfied if the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 - Commissioner of Police, District Ludhiana, to look into and take action on the issues raised by the petitioners in their representation dated 26.10.2021 (Annexure P-5).
