This matter is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing due to the outbreak of pandemic, COVID-19. The petitioner is aggrieved of order dated 21.08.2019 (Annexure P-5), passed by respondent no.2 - Director General of Police (Haryana), whereby retention of the petitioner in service beyond the age of 58 years has been rejected on the ground that he was awarded various punishments as mentioned therein and that an FIR also stands registered against him.

The petitioner had earlier filed CWP-26686-2019, seeking the same relief. The said petition was dismissed as withdrawn on 05.12.2019 with liberty to the petitioner to pursue the matter with the authorities. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner had thereafter

CWP-21151-2020 submitted representation dated 11.01.2020 (Annexure P-8) but the same has not been decided till date, therefore, this petition has been filed. Mr. Ashish Yadav, Addl.A.G., Haryana, to whom advance copy of the writ petition has been supplied, submits that representation of the petitioner is under consideration and shall be decided expeditiously. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances as above, I do not find any ground to interfere in this second petition filed by the petitioner. Writ petition is accordingly dismissed. Needless to say the petitioner is at liberty to pursue his pending representation. ++
