The petitioner herein is a tenant. He was ordered to be evicted by the Court of the Rent Controller against which he filed an appeal. 2.

During the pendency of the appeal, the petitioner filed an application for permission to amend the written statement which was dismissed by the Appellate Authority. The correctness of the aforesaid order has been challenged in this revision petition. 3.

The learned counsel representing the petitioner contends that he wants to amend the written statement in order to assert that the landlord has sufficient accommodation as the building is a double storeyed building. 4.

This Court has considered the submissions of the learned counsel representing the parties.
